Medium Uprights, Rounded, Cascading

Many Japanese Maple cultivars fall into this category and are often called “Garden Maples” as they fit so nicely into the landscape and as garden trees. 5 to 15 ft high, and as wide, often upright vase forms with spreading or cascading branches perfect for pruning into beautiful structures and shapes, and rounded shrubs of all sizes. When selecting a cultivar in this category, be sure to look at leaf shapes and textures, the changing colors through the seasons, understand if the cultivar is sun or shade-loving, and view mature specimens in order to pick the perfect tree for a particular site.
